Summer Flower Parade

Traditionally, every second Saturday of August, the Rijnsburg Flower Parade takes place. The parade consists of 12 floats, music floats, flower-decorated cars, and marching bands. Additionally, the themes on the floats are supported and portrayed by more than 100 actors. This special flower parade attracts over 350,000 visitors annually and is successfully broadcasted on national television by omroep MAX. The Rijnsburg Flower Parade distinguishes itself from other flower parades by using hundreds of flower varieties processed by professional arrangers. The first Rijnsburg Flower Parade took place in 1946, making it one of the oldest in the Netherlands.

The theme of the summer Flower Parade is 'Typical Netherlands', which is reflected in the designs of the floats.

On Friday afternoon, starting from 4:00 PM, you are welcome to attend the free Flower Parade Show at the Royal FloraHolland Flower Auction in Rijnsburg. It promises to be a charming afternoon and evening filled with music and beautiful flowers. Here, you'll have the opportunity to leisurely admire and photograph all the floats. Special activities are planned for children between 4:00 PM and 6:30 PM. On Sunday, the floats can be admired all day on the Kon. Wilhelmina Boulevard in Noordwijk.
