More information on the next edition of the FishFestival, the Bulb Region's fish show, will follow a.s.a.p.

The brand-new FishFestival at Van der Valk hotel Sassenheim - Leiden is the ultimate food event for the fish lover! In cooperation with fish and filleting specialist Arie Kuijt, we provide an evening-long programme with various demos and beautiful fish dishes. Alongside Arie, SVH-Meesterkok and Executive Chef of Nest restaurant, Rogér Rassin, as well as OZZO Oriental Restobar's Japanese Sushimaster chef, Takashi Nakanowatari, will also stimulate your senses during this spectacular evening.

Programme 2023

18:30 hrs - Reception

  • Fresh oysters and a festive glass of bubbly
  • Smelt & aioli

19:15 hrs - Show Arie Kuijt & sushi chef Takashi

  • Tuna filleting
  • Tasting sessions; tuna sashimi & tataki, cut fresh from the knife with various toppings 

19:45 hrs - Sushi

  • Two sushis, composed of the tuna

20:00 hrs -To the table

  • Homemade bisque with Dutch shrimps

20:20 hrs - Show Arie Kuijt

  • Tenderly cooked halibut with bulgur and mustard butter 
  • Bowl of cockles & mussels to snack on

21:15 hrs - To the table

  • Sea bass cooked in antiboise with fried parsley on mousseline 

21:45 hrs - Dessert

  • Creamy white chocolate mousse with slightly sweet red fruit and fresh lime zest

From 22:00 hrs

  • Lounge & DJ Hendrick Marron @ OZZO Oriental Restobar (drinks on post-calculation)


Prices for the next edition will follow asap.

Includes 4-course wine pairing during the evening (1 glass per course p.p.). Other drinks will be settled on subsequent calculation.
