De Olmenhorst
Outings with children
Estate De Olmenhorst is located in the heart of Haarlemmermeer. The estate features 31 hectares of organic apple and pear orchards, historic buildings, and workshops. At De Olmenhorst, you can enjoy a relaxing walk among the orchards or have a coffee, lunch, or drink in the cozy Fruit Hall. In the shop, you can purchase the famous Olmenhorst juices and fresh harvest (while supplies last).
Dogs are allowed on the estate, provided they are on a leash. They are not permitted in the Fruit Hall restaurant.
Opening hours
The estate is open daily from sunrise to sunset.
The Fruit Hall is open from Monday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 17:00.
Activities at De Olmenhorst
You are welcome to walk around the estate. It is especially worthwhile in spring when the fruit trees are in bloom, in summer with all the flowering borders, and in autumn during the pick-your-own season. In front of the Fruit Hall, there is a playground in the field where children can play.
The estate also houses various workshops and shops (check the opening hours), such as the Willemijn Candle Maker, where candles are crafted in the traditional way. Check the Olmenhorst website for the calendar of upcoming activities.
Apple picking at De Olmenhorst
At De Olmenhorst, all fruit is grown 100% organically. The apples and pears are ripe in September/October, when the orchards are opened for picking. Would you like to pick apples at De Olmenhorst? You are very welcome! The pick-your-own opening dates are announced around June.
Combine your visit to De Olmenhorst with an overnight stay at our hotel and enjoy the beautiful surroundings near the hotel.
