At Van der Valk Hotel Sassenheim – Leiden, you can fully enjoy the outdoors. Our hotel features four beautiful terraces: a waterside terrace at OZZO, a terrace at restaurant Nest, a terrace at the South African popup restaurant PAARL, and an exclusive rooftop terrace. Perfect for enjoying the sun, a snack, or a drink, in good weather or even during a light shower thanks to coverings and windbreaks.
Waterside terrace
Our waterside terrace is located at OZZO Oriental Restobar and offers approximately 30 seats. With automatic wind screens, this terrace can also be used in rain or wind, allowing you to sit comfortably outside at all times.

Next to the main entrance
Next to restaurant Nest is a second terrace with approximately 50 seats, ideal for enjoying the sun or shade thanks to awnings and parasols. Nest staff are happy to inform you about the varied menu.
The terrace is accessible from both the restaurant and the parking area.
Partially covered and heated
At the South African popup restaurant PAARL, located at the back of the hotel, you will find a partially covered and heated terrace. This way, you can always enjoy the outdoors, regardless of the weather.

For a unique view and an exclusive setting, you can visit our rooftop terrace on the first floor. This terrace is exclusively available for events, conferences, weddings, or walking dinners and offers a special outdoor experience above the hotel.

It is not (standardly) possible to reserve a spot on the terrace, but you can indicate a terrace preference when making your reservation, and we will naturally try to accommodate it.
Please mention your preference in the comments of your table reservation at Nest, PAARL, or OZZO, and we will do our best to seat you on the terrace.
