On the Saturday before “Pakjesavond” (December 5th, the evening when families in the Netherlands traditionally exchange gifts), Van der Valk Hotel Sassenheim-Leiden hosts a spectacular Sinterklaas event, including our delicious Sinterklaas Buffet. Enjoy freshly prepared dishes from our Live Cooking buffet while the little ones have fun in the Kids’ Corner – and of course, Sinterklaas and his cheerful helpers will pay us a visit!
At the buffet, you decide what you’d like to eat: our chefs serve a wide variety of freshly prepared starters, main courses and desserts, as well as tasty snacks, salads, oven-fresh bread and regional specialties.

For our little guests
During the buffet, Sinterklaas and his helpers will stop by the restaurant. Has everyone been good this year? The children certainly won’t leave empty-handed! They can catch traditional pepernoten (spiced cookies) and join in fun, supervised activities. The Sinterklaas Buffet is a highlight every year – for young and old alike!
