Reservation information

Thank you very much for making your reservation at Van der Valk Hotel Sassenheim - Leiden. Below you will find information relevant to your booking.

Check-in
We kindly ask you and/or your guest(s) to present a valid ID upon check-in. All hotel guests must be 18 years or older at check-in. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during their stay.

Guarantee
Your reservation will be guaranteed until 18:00 hours (*) on the day of arrival. Cancellation is free of charge till 12.00 PM on the day before your arrival.

If you or your guest arrive after 18:00 hours, you can guarantee the reservation by paying the payment link. This will be sent to you in the morning 2 days prior to your arrival. Without a payment or credit card as guarantee, we may be forced to cancel the reservation after 18:00hrs.

For hotel registration, please provide identification for all guests.

VAT Rate
Room rates include VAT. As of January 1, 2026, the VAT rate may increase from 9% to 21%. This could result in adjusted room prices based on the new VAT rate.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner
More information about our restaurants regarding breakfast, lunch and dinner options can be found on our website or in the pre-arrival mail which you will receive from us three days before arrival.

Cancellation policy
You can cancel your reservation free of charge until 12:00 on the day prior to your arrival date. After that, 100% of the first night will be charged. The 'non-refundable' rates cannot be canceled.

If your reservation was made through another party (booking, expedia, etc.), you must contact this party for your cancellation.

Parking
As a hotel guest, you can park for free at the hotel. Several charging stations for your electric car are also available.
