Oosterduin Lake is a stunning recreational lake located in the picturesque town of Noordwijkerhout, just 9 kilometers from our hotel. Created in the 1950s and 60s through sand excavations for the Hillegom lime sand factory, the lake has now become a beloved destination for both locals and tourists. Affectionately known as the Como Lake, Oosterduin Lake is approximately 1 kilometer long, 400 meters wide, and has a maximum depth of 13 meters, offering something for everyone.

Recreation and relaxation

Situated at the inner dune edge and surrounded by colorful bulb fields, Oosterduin Lake provides an idyllic setting for various recreational activities. On the west side, you will find an approximately 300-meter-long sandy beach with a designated swimming area, ideal for families with children. The northern side of the lake is popular with surfers, who take advantage of the favorable wind conditions.
