The festival takes place during the Rembrandt Year, which celebrates the life of the famous painter born and raised in Leiden. During the Leidse Rembrandt Dagen, the Pieterswijk will literally be transformed into 17th-century surroundings. Hundreds of extras will walk around in authentic costumes, taking you back to the time when Rembrandt lived in Leiden. There is also plenty to do in the rest of the city.
