Picking apples at the Olmenhorst

De Olmenhorst estate is approximately a 10-minute drive from Hotel Sassenheim-Leiden. At De Olmenhorst it is possible in the autumn to pick 100% organically grown apples and pears. The fruit is ripe in September / October when the estate's orchards are opened for picking. This annual event is a party for young and old!

Self-picking has always been much more than just picking the fruit. With various activities, the Olmenhorst turns it into a real outdoor party every year. You can choose from many types of apples and pears every year; Elstar, Jonagold, Jonagored, Santana, Doyenné du Comice, Conference and more! Because nature cannot be forced, it is still difficult for now to say what can be picked and when. De Olmenhorst lets you know what to pick with every pick! You can pay in cash, but also with PIN. Note: pears can only be picked on weekends.
