Municipal Windmill Museum De Valk

Everyone knows the typical Dutch windmills, but what does such a windmill actually look like on the inside? To discover and admire this, you have come to the right place at the Municipal Windmill Museum De Valk. The Municipal Windmill Museum De Valk is a tower mill from 1743 and a real icon of Leiden.

There are seven floors and the three highest floors show the real mill business. On the ground floor you walk into a miller's house and on top of the hall you have a beautiful view of the entire city!

Four times an hour a train leaves to Leiden Central Station. This train ride is only 6 minutes, just like the walking distance from Leiden Central Station to the Municipal Windmill Museum De Valk .

The museum can also be reached by bus. From the Viaduct, Warmond bus stop, which is a 7-minute walk from our hotel, you can take the direct Arriva bus connection (Qliner 50) to Leiden Central Station. It is only 6 minutes walking distance from the bus stop at Leiden Central Station to the Municipal Windmill Museum De Valk.

Parking

If you prefer to go to the Municipal Windmill Museum De Valk  by car, this is certainly possible. The museum is a 13-minute drive via the A44. Parking is available in the Lammermarkt parking garage, which is located next to the museum.
